With brand-new eyes.
The future of headlamps at Mercedes-Benz.
The next step.
Creating a new focus while remaining distinctive. A strong character, yet one that retains a familiar appearance, leaving no doubt about its pedigree. The signature features are unmistakable – something that has always set Mercedes-Benz lighting design apart. A few years ago, Mercedes-Benz revolutionised the market with its 'twin headlamp face'. Following on from this brand-defining element, headlamp design is now taking a new, progressive direction. "It is our job to push boundaries," explains lighting designer Stefan Handt. "We have to take the next step forward. We have to create something that will fascinate people."
The design idiom remains alive within this characteristic style element and adapts itself to the new 'face' without abandoning its origins. Watch this film to see the new light design.
