The new A-Class shows how smartphones can be fully integrated in future into the Mercedes-Benz infotainment systems – even with the entry-level device, the Audio 20. As a world premiere, the iPhone® will be fully integrated for the first time into a car’s display and operating concept. The revolutionary 3D user interface boasts impressive high-resolution graphics and fluent animated transitions. The controller, which is ergonomically optimally positioned on the centre armrest, allows you to operate the device safely and intuitively while driving. With the Drive Kit Plus, specially developed by Mercedes-Benz at its development laboratory in Palo Alto, California, USA, the driver has access to the main content of his/her iPhone®, as well as to a range of applications such as AUPEO! Personal Radio.
As a further world premiere, Mercedes-Benz is introducing to the vehicle Siri™, the speech-based intelligent assistant for the iPhone® 4S. Using natural speech entry, without requiring specific commands, you can send messages, select music, call up weather information and share prices, or make appointments.
