From April 10 – 13 in Augusta, Georgia, the world’s best golfers competed for the legendary Green Jacket.

Within fractions of a second strain is replaced by the look of boundless joy in his face. All eyes in the golfing world are focused on him: Bubba Watson. The man with the beaming smile and tear streamed face has just won the most prestigious major tournament of the year.

From April 10 – 13 in Augusta, Georgia, the world’s best golfers competed for the legendary Green Jacket. Shooting a 3-under-par 69 for an 8-under 280 total, it is Bubba Watson who now owns the Green Jacket once again for one year.

From 2008 until 2013 the premium automotive brand was already an International Partner of the Tournament.

In 2014, Mercedes-Benz became one of three Global Sponsors of the Masters Tournament for the first time. From 2008 through 2013 the premium automotive brand was an International Partner of the Masters Tournament. Players and selected guests were once again offered an exclusive shuttle service with Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Furthermore, exclusive customer care activities with Mercedes-Benz brand ambassadors took place in an off-site location for lucky Mercedes-Benz VIP guests. In evening Meet & Greets Mercedes-Benz guests from all over the world had the opportunity to meet two-times Masters champion Bernhard Langer, Martin Kaymer, former number one in the world and 2010 PGA Champion, Rickie Fowler, winner of the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Award 2010, and 2013 Masters Champion Adam Scott.

To win the Green Jacket is the aim over every professional golfer.

After an exciting play-off in 2013 the first Australian champion ever, Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador Adam Scott was presented with the Green Jacket from the 2012 winner Bubba Watson. At the time he was quoted as saying, “My win at the Masters was incredible and to be the first Australian to win this Tournament means a great deal to me. I am looking forward to Augusta and to the challenge of defending the title”. This time, however, it was the other way around: Bubba Watson received the Green Jacket from 2013 Masters winner Adam Scott during the traditional ceremony in the Butler Cabin.
