The GL 63 AMG offers luxury, a flawless driving experience, a striking design, the highest safety standards and dynamics typical of the brand. Thanks to the AMG 5.5 litre V8 biturbo engine with a top performance of

High-tech package for driving pleasure and efficiency.
The AMG 5.5 litre V8 biturbo engine provides the perfect prerequisites for a performance typical of AMG and a superior driving experience. A glance at the technical data reveals convincing sales arguments. First-class driving performance is the result of a maximum power of 410 kW (557 hp) and a maximum torque of 760 Newton metres. The GL 63 AMG accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds; the maximum speed is 250 km/h (electronically restricted). The eight cylinder AMG is equipped with spray-guided direct petrol injection, biturbo charging and other developments designed to increase efficiency.
The AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC is responsible for the transmission of power to all four of the permanently driven wheels. The seven-speed automatic transmission with three
drive programs and an automatic double-declutching function during downshifting captivates thanks to its great variability. The strengthened drive system ensures optimal power transfer and the reliability for which Mercedes-Benz is known.

Mercedes AMG uses an independent transfer case for the permanent 4MATIC all-wheel drive. In the interest of driving dynamics, it distributes the drive power to the front and rear axle at a ratio of 40:60. 4ETS, the standard electronic traction control system, optimises the grip for different friction values, whilst the electro-mechanical AMG speed-sensitive sports steering is equipped with variable power assistance which adapts to the selected suspension setting.
Safety, comfort and driving dynamics of the highest standard.
At the press of a button, the driver can select one of three suspension settings – and as if that's not enough, the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with AIRMATIC package is combined with the ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM for roll stabilisation in the GL 63 AMG. An automatic adjustment to current driving conditions increases agility and driving pleasure whilst optimum driving comfort is maintained. The air suspension system lowers the vehicle body at high speeds in order to minimise air resistance. This also increases driving stability. The AMG high-performance brake system with ventilated brake discs provides for the shortest possible braking distance and a high degree of stability.

Performance-oriented design
with masculine looks.
Striking, masculine, distinctive: these characteristics describe the design of the GL 63 AMG. The main design features of the new GL – forceful dynamics and sporty elegance – are complemented by AMG-specific design with the front apron and its large air intakes for cooling, the exclusive wheel-arch flaring, "V8 BITURBO" logos on the wings and illuminated running boards with an aluminium finish. The GL 63 AMG has titan grey, high-sheen 21 inch AMG alloy wheels as standard. The two visible chrome dual tailpipes of the AMG sports exhaust system are both a visual and acoustic highlight.

Great attention to detail, perfect ergonomics and a generous amount of space – the interior of the GL 63 AMG is also dominated by exclusivity and dynamics. All seven seats of this high-performance SUV are upholstered with top-quality leather. The electrically adjustable AMG sport seats have double top stitching in contrasting colours as well as AMG badges on the front seat backrests and the outer rear-seat backrests. The instrument panel, armrests and door panel lining are covered in ARTICO man-made leather. These components can all be covered with top-quality designo leather if the optional designo Exclusive package is selected.
The AMG Performance steering wheel with four-spoke design, perforated leather in the area where the driver holds it,
a flattened lower rim and aluminium shift paddles ensures optimum control of the vehicle. Exclusive optional equipment from the AMG Performance Studio is available on request, lending the GL 63 AMG a more individual design.
