The exterior of the new GLK stands out with standard LED daytime running lamps and LED rear lamps. The newly designed bumper lends it a superior and, at the same time, sporty look. The exceptionally clear layout of the body and good all-round vision, along with a raised driving position, enhance the vehicle’s suitability for everyday use and ensure relaxed driving in every situation. High-quality materials, new equipment features and details in the interior help enhance the level of driving pleasure in the GLK, as do the new infotainment systems. The GLK offers Internet access with COMAND Online, concert hall acoustics, thanks to the Harman Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system, and provides new entertainment options for rear passengers with the Apple iPad® Rear Seat Integration Plus.
Even greater active safety is available in the new GLK on request with the support systems familiar from the S- and E-Classes, such as DISTRONIC PLUS including BAS PLUS, PRE-SAFE® brakes, and the Active Lane Keeping and Blind Spot Assist systems.
The Off-Road Engineering package is also still available, ensuring a healthy degree of assertiveness when driving on unsealed roads.

The state-of-the-art engine line-up delivers the highest level of drive comfort and impressive performance in all the GLK models, with low fuel consumption and emissions figures. In total, there are six diesel models and one petrol model to choose from. In conjunction with the latest engine technology, a comprehensive package of BlueEFFICIENCY measures helps ensure that fuel consumption in all GLK models is kept to a minimum. As well as the standard ECO start/stop function, these include the seven-speed 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission.
