AMG has its roots in international motorsport. The C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series is the best proof there is for the permanent transfer of technology from the racetrack to the road.

Producing 380 kW (517 hp) and 620 Nm of torque, the C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series is the most powerful C-Class of all time.
The AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine is characterised by tremendous pulling power, high torque and an agile response.

For harsh racetrack conditions , the engine cooling and AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission have also been optimised. Four transmission modes, a double-declutching function and the RACE START feature all help to ensure maximum driving pleasure.
The AMG sports suspension is a sophisticated new development. It has been designed as a coil-over suspension, as is the norm in motorsport – and it represents a hallmark feature of a Black Series model. It offers numerous setting options, and allows the driver to create their own personal set-up.
Superb vehicle control is also ensured not least thanks to the AMG speed-sensitive sports steering with optimum steering precision,
the AMG high-performance composite braking system and the AMG rear-axle differential lock.

On the road, the C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series delivers what the vehicle's appearance already promises even at a standstill. Accentuated by the hallmark AMG eight-cylinder sound of the AMG sports exhaust system, it accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. In the "Sport plus" and "Manual" transmission modes, the gear changes take a mere 100 milliseconds. To enhance driving dynamics even further there is the optional AMG Track package with sports tyres and active rear-axle transmission cooling, as well as the AMG Aerodynamics package including adjustable carbon-fibre rear aerofoil.

Despite all of its sportiness, active and passive safety are still afforded the highest priority: standard appointments therefore include the retuned anti-lock braking system (ABS) as well as 3-stage ESP®. Experienced drivers can choose from the "Sport Handling Mode" or completely deactivate the system.
To complement the exceptionally sporty handling, the functional interior is also presented in the style of a true racing car. At the same time, the cockpit of the C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series boasts a number of tastefully designed details as well as the high level of quality which is typical of Mercedes-Benz.
