Distinctive, sporty and dominant.
The CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake combines the exciting elegant style features of a spectacular vehicle design with sporty, distinctive dominance. Its high performance is visible in elements such as the powerful AMG front apron with cross strut in black high gloss, the AMG radiator grille with one fin and the AMG-specific bonnet form. But also the distinct, wider front wings with “V8 BITURBO” lettering, AMG's own design rear apron with a diffuser-look and the sporty AMG exhaust system with dual twin chrome tailpipes all set the dynamic tone. The 5.5 litre V8 biturbo AMG engine is truly impressive with its combination of direct petrol injection and spray-guided combustion, piezo injectors, biturbo charging, air-water intercooler, generator management and ECO start/stop function.
The eight-cylinder power pack stands for pure dynamics and high efficiency: with a performance and torque of 386 kW (525 hp) and 700 newton metres, the sheer masterfulness of the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake is palpable for the driver – each kilometre of the ride.
Confident power performance, low fuel consumption.
Combined with Edition 1, the output values rise to 410 kW (557 hp) and 800 newton metres. Despite dynamics typical of a sports car, fuel consumption is low. The 10.1 litres per 100 kilometres fuel consumption in accordance with the NEDC standard means a CO2 emission of 235 g/km and is identical for both performance levels.
The absolutely masterful power of the vehicle can also be heard by the driver: the sports exhaust system with its dual twin chrome tailpipes emits a sonorous eight-cylinder sound which is recognisably AMG.
Individual and variable.
The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-gear sports transmission is fascinating too thanks to its performance and efficiency. Equipped with four individual driving programs, automatic double-declutching function and RACE START function, its power transmission demonstrates convincing spontaneity and highest variability. In the “controlled efficiency” mode (C) the ECO start/stop function is constantly active and switches off the eight-cylinder whenever the vehicles comes to a halt. In the “S” (Sport), “S+” (Sport plus) and “M” (Manual) drive programs, engine and transmission show their more agile side: with speedy, prompt and precisely defined retraction of ignition and injection under full load, the gear changes are even faster than before. A perfect complement to the high-tech drive are the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports chassis, the optional AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system with 360 millimetre all round, ventilated and perforated brake discs, and the electromechanical AMG sports parameter steering.
Exclusive atmosphere.
The interior of CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake meets the highest standards. AMG sports seats in nappa leather with multi-contour seat and memory function, AMG trim features in black piano lacquer and the AMG special IWC design analogue clock all create a matchless aura. The AMG instrument cluster with AMG main menu, including RACETIMER and the AMG start-up screen, are responsible for supplying impeccable information to the driver. The AMG DRIVE UNIT with E-SELECT selector lever allows you to configure the transmission drive program, the chassis setup, the ESP® functions and the AMG program. The AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather, in three-spoke design, with a flattened rim at the top and bottom is convincing in its looks, ergonomics and feel. And now new for all AMG vehicles: the electronic key in chrome look with the AMG emblem.
