THE BOSSHOSS ON TOUR 2013.
Five new Actros as companions on the “Flames of Fame” tour.
ON TOUR WITH THE
What do musicians on tour and Mercedes-Benz vehicles have in common? What may seem far-fetched quickly turns out to be a powerful team: Five new Actros are tour companions on the “Flames of Fame” tour.
Until November 2013, The BossHoss cowboys (and lead singers) Alec “Boss Burns” Völkel and Sascha “Hoss Power” Vollmer present their new top ten album “Flames of Fame” live in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN.
The light goes on, the first chords are played, the crowd goes wild: Since October 19th, The BossHoss have been on tour with their new album “Flames of Fame”. But who makes sure the band as well as the stage equipment, lighting, sound and their instruments travel safely from A to B? The new Actros. A total of 2,218 horses – the horsepower of the five new Actros combined – transport about 200 tons of equipment over 7,000 km asphalt through three countries. The drivers and their vehicles are the first who enter the concert halls every day, and the last ones leaving them. They take care that all of the massive equipment arrives without a scratch at the right time and at the right place. Every night after the concert they make sure that every single piece will be back on board for the next show.
A TRADITIONAL COOPERATION.
The cooperation between the rock stars with the Stetsons and Mercedes-Benz Trucks is a fine tradition: In 2006, an audience of 30,000 truckers at the Truck Grand Prix at Nürburgring cheered for the The BossHoss. Motivated by this enthusiasm, the band and Mercedes-Benz Trucks dedicated the trucker hymn “Truck’n’Roll Rules” to the drivers.
More trucker hits followed, like a cover version of the Elvis Presley classic “Flaming Star”, as well as the song “My Way” for the new Actros. The most recent creation by this successful collaboration, the new Atego song “Eager Beaver”, can be found on the new album “Flames of Fame”.
