Office Opening
New York.
THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES celebrated
the opening of their brand new headquarters
in New York with a lavish party.
Right in time for THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES’ first anniversary, the editorial staff has moved into its brand new New York headquarters. On June 19th the opening of the office was celebrated with a big street party. On a hot summer day about 700 guests enjoyed food, drinks and music provided by DJs Pete Rock and Tim Sweeney as well as Janka Nabay & The Bubu Gang. Among the crowd of friends and celebrities were THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES interviewees such as MOCA director Jeffrey Deitch, photographer Mark Hunter (The Cobrasnake) and musician Mikkel Hess (Hess Is More).
From now on the new location on the corner of Mott Street and Broome Street will not only serve as the editorial workspace but also a venue for smaller events such as exhibitions, dinner, talks and lectures.
